The 25173 (Beards Fork)

Kincaid/Beards Fork, West Virginia

Imagine beautiful rolling hills, lush forests, and breathtaking mountains. You are probably thinking of West Virginia. Well, welcome to all those interested in this years BU ASB trip to Kincaid/Beards Fork, West Virginia.

Beards Fork was once a mining town. They mined coal. Now, they take part in forestry, but their mines are inactive. The Southern Appalachian Labor School is the only business entity in the town. If you are a city rat who loves the buzz of taxi cabs and the shuffle of feet on sidewalks, then Kincaid may not be the best place for you. It has one lane road and one creek running parallel to it. Fortunately, it’s right off the highway!!
